Details
Revielle and RetreatThe sun is just beginning to reveal itself over the eastern horizon
as the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard steps off in formation to perform
Reveille. As the day comes to a close, the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard
takes their post at the base of the flagpole to perform Retreat.
Color GuardStanding at the strict position of attention, internalizing the
military discipline that is expected of an officer in the United States
Air Force, the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard Color Guard proudly displays the
colors of the United States and the United States Air Force Academy
during any military formation attended by the entire Cadet Wing.
FuneralsThere come times when the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard is called upon to
pay their respects unto a fellow cadet or graduate that has passed
away. For such a heartrending opportunity, but a honored
responsibility, the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard ensures that a proper
military funeral and burial is given along with a 21-gun salute.
ParadesEvery parade held on the parade grounds of the United States Air
Force Academy literally starts off with a bang with the aide of the
USAFA Cadet Honor Guard and the 75 mm Howitzer cannon the team
operates. Members of the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard are primarily
responsible for keeping the watch over the parade field during any
parade when the entire Cadet Wing is present.
Posting of the ColorsEither for celebration or recognition, the USAFA Cadet Honor Guard
proudly presents the colors of the United States and the United States
Air Force Academy with two guards, each bearing the United States
Rifle, caliber .30, M-1 Garand, whenever requested and whenever
possible.
Sabre ArchesWedding bells chime as the bride and groom complete their first
married kiss. As they turn around, they are greeted by glittering
sabres held up in a 8 person arch. There is no better way to celebrate
a military wedding than with the Cadet Honor Guard Sabre Arch: the
perfect scene for a perfect beginning.
